JPMORGAN CHASE SOUNDS OF THE CITY SEEKS PERFORMERS FOR THE SUMMER 2008 SERIES FREE OUTDOOR MUSIC SERIES The NJPAC’s Sounds of the City 2008 committee is currently canvassing the area’s clubs and live music venues looking for groups for this tenth annual series. Musicians are required to submit an entry form no later than March 28, 2008. NJPAC’s Sounds of the City committee members will review the submissions and groups will be selected and notified by May 2, 2008. Groups are selected based on a combination of artistic integrity and NJPAC’s desire to represent a variety of music. Public announcement in Freehold
To all my fellow musicians I warn you! There is a bar out there called The Cabin located on Route 33 in Freehold. This bar has a very active band calendar and is very desirable. The club manager AJ,the Crypt Keeper has a racket whereby he runs an "audition" process. You play for free on a Thursday nite, bring all your peeps, fill his bar, fill his registers and maybe (but most likely not) you get asked back to play. Guys, I didn't even get a free bottle of water the night I played. I would so much rather play for free if the profits went to a charitable cause. This is just wrong. Consider yourselves warned.
